Review of Zephyr Springs (2013) by Billy H — 10 Jul 2015
The script had good premises but fell flat on its face. It starts off with a scene from near the end of the film. Then it jumps to where they are planning to go and visit the spa. From there is some consistency with the part of the murder and how reece is trying to prevent kayla from discovering the bad things.
Then it gets sidetracked again and kayla is happy and talking again to reece like if nothing happened. Then out of nowhere kayla is getting tortured. Then the mom meets up with brett who tells her to hid and then he dies because he chose not to hide when reece arrived to torture kayla even more with a floodlight.
Then the film jumps back to spa resort like if nothing happened again even though the mom saw reece murder someone. Its like this until the film ends which ends like if nothing happened. The film would have been good if there was consistency in the writing.
It literally felt like every other scene was written by a different person and no one decided to proof read the script. It gets one star because the main characters did the best they could with the script that they were given.
