Review of Zen Noir (2004) by Amanda W — 12 Oct 2008
Detective investigates a murder at a Buddhist retreat. Intriguing concept that could have been a great movie juxtaposing the detective's corny film noir dialogue against the suspects' koan replies, but this film tries too hard and ends up as a silly over-the-top comedy with an all-too-serious lesson.
