Review of Zelig (1983) by Jacques V — 04 Aug 2008
One of these days I want to write a one-word review that's just "rubbish" or "unacceptable." But this isn't the movie for that. This one's actually really beautiful and a poem.
I remember loving every second of this movie five years ago, but I think the novelty wore off a bit by the second viewing. It's still a fantastical movie--funny, warm, tender. There are some amazingly beautiful moments, like the hypnosis sessions ("I just want to be liked.
.." "No more pancakes...") and the ending was perfect.
