Imagine if the "News on the March" segment of Citizen Kane was an entire eighty minute movie, and you'll have some idea of what Woody was going for in Zelig. It actually works, thanks to spirited performances from Allen and Farrow, convincing special effects and a powerful message about the dangers and fascist implications of conformity.
