Review of Zelig (1983) by Jonathan G — 27 Feb 2010
An interesting if over-rated film, since its basic premise was anticipated over 13 years earlier by Bertolucci in The Conformist and explored much more forensically. As a light comedy it works well enough, with some nice burlesques and a few sight gags, but there is so little development in the final twenty minutes that I was left wondering if this wouldn't have been better left as a short.
