Review of Zelig (1983) by Bryan Cordova — 03 Jan 2009
Could be described as quirky, but that would be reductive. It is truly a work of genius. One of Allen's most un-indulgent films, and most un-indulgent roles, eschewing comedic bombast in favour of a more restrained, poignant performance.
It's sweet, modest, pertinent and completely captivating.
