Review of Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005) by Bryanbezter — 18 Apr 2020
Great things about the movie:
1. Josh Hutcherson and Jonah Bobo did good job as Walter Budwing and Danny Budwing respectively.
2. The visual effects are excellent.
3. Great character development.
4. Good story and concept.
The animations for Zorgons' ships and the defective robot (some shots) are not smooth.
Debatable holes:
1. If the Zorgons were attracted to heat, they should have been able to detect humans in the house easily.
2. Walter and Danny should have been easily pulled by Tsouris-3's gravity, and if it was hot, they all should have been burned considering the distance was so small.
3. How could future Walter be an astronaut? How could he be included in the game? If the astronaut touched Walter, would the astronaut disappear? How could the astronaut stay alive for 15 years? Where does the astronaut stay for 15 years? How could he get the astronaut suit and build his body?
4 How could the board game exist in the father's house in the first place.
5. The fact that Walter and the astronaut were the same person was not so convincing, because they have different ways of speaking and face structures.
Messages from the movie:
1. Siblings and family members should take care of each other. Parents have also important role in strengthening the bond of the family.
2. Decisions should not be made when we are angry. We need to calm ourselves first when we are emotionally stressed.
