Review of Zardoz (1974) by Nikolai E — 25 May 2009
I liked many of the ideas in this film, when they manage to shine through the inconceivable presentation. At its best it resembles a no-holds-barred European art film, and coincidentally the script quotes BOTH of my absolute favorite poems.
I won't say seeing it wasn't worthwhile. It's just a shame that the good things are buried under so much madness, madness, madness madness.
