Review of Zardoz (1974) by Keith T — 05 Jan 2012
There are some nice concepts in this film, especially the reworking of the tale of the Yellow Brick Road, but it is all let down a bit by what seems to be a very low budget, which I assume was mostly spent on getting post-Bond Sean Connery in the lead role.
This was certainly the film that first introduced me to the delights of Beethoven's 7th, which is of course so good it has recently been re-used in a great chunk of The King's Speech.
