Review of Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) by Scienceadvisor — 18 Mar 2021
While better than the original, this really needed to be cut down to three hours. There is a lot of padding that adds nothing to the story, and extended scenes with terrible CGI (especially Cyborg's floating face), or Miller's bad performances. For the most part the first four chapters are the same as the original, with some small tweaks. Afterwards the new added material and re-shot scenes really are a substantial improvement over the original, but not enough to justify seeing this version again. The criminal aspect is that the primary trailer ending is not even in the movie. The one where Joker says “We live in a society.” Even if it had been included I am not sure the Knightmare scene would have been any better. Also, if the last character that Bruce talks to was so concerned, why did he sit the entire fight out? A lot of this movie still makes little sense, and as people re-watch they will start to realize it is unfortunately not nearly the 10 that many are claiming.
