It's ridiculous to think of Zack Snyder's work as the same as an auteur, but there's no denying that this version is much better than the theatrical one. But let's be honest: that wasn't too hard to do.

'Zack Snyder's Justice League' is still silly and melodramatic. Yes, the characters are more defined and interesting —especially Cyborg—, and Steppenwolf is no longer a funny-looking clown, but the dull moments are everywhere. Three hours could've been enough.
