Zack Brown (Rogen): What? No, that is a fuckin' awesome idea. Are you shitting me? That guy, Brandon St. Randy, Bobby Long's boyfriend, he said he makes a hundred grand a year because he shoots and distributes his own porno flicks.
Miriam Linky (Banks): If it's so easy, how come everybody doesn't do it?
Zack Brown (Rogen): Because other people have options - and dignity - which we do not have, which puts us in an amazingly advantageous position!
I'm a fan of Kevin Smith's work, but as much I wanted to love this film, it just didn't click with me. Rogen and Banks have good on-screen chemistry when their relationship was strictly platonic; but once things got a bit more intimate, it just didn't make sense anymore. I don't know why but for some reason, they as a couple just didn't work. I still like the spirit behind the film but it's nothing that hasn't already been done before and I like Kevin Smith's films which has more profound lessons. This was alright but not as enjoyable as I was expecting. The best part of the film was surprisingly enough Justin Long and Brandon Routh, especially Long. He was definitely hilarious with really being over the top. Overall, this was kind of disappointing if you're a fan, but from a non-fan's perspective, it's okay.
