In Zack & Miri Make A Porno we see a real break through in directing for Kevin Smith. He has come into an art of comedic writing that is rarely replicated. He is able to stay hip and current but not lose the most essential human emotion.
The movie is hillarious and contains quite a few interesting cameos (my favorite being the Apple Guy) - This is Kevin Smith's funniest and most intelligent comedy. This isn't to say he is trying to shove an agenda down your throat like in Dogma (although a brilliant movie in its own right) the movie stays fresh throughout and never boring.
Completely worth your time, easily the funniest movie of the year.
