Review of Zabriskie Point (1970) by Paul J — 15 Aug 2007
One of the most underrated films ever made. Antonioni looks upon United States and this is the result. Sure, it has terrible acting and bad dialogue, but considering the subject matter, how appropriate is that? The Pink Floyd score is hypnotic.
At times, the visual experience borderlines 2001: A Space Odyssey. Or a Jackson Pollock painting. Mesmerizing images and captivating themes make this one of my favorites.
