Review of Zabriskie Point (1970) by Jack B — 27 Apr 2010
Watching shit blow up for 10 minutes over a Pink Floyd track? Sign me up.
Antonioni's take of late Sixties American culture. As always, the narrative could only be described as "strange", and the sound does suffer some important issue (mainly with the background noises coming on and off, and the overdubbed voices with some obvious lip synching..). But despite that, the photography and the somewhat drug powered narrative give the viewer a clear gasp at those civil-right/hippie/road-trip American years. 4.
