Review of Z (1969) by Jeff B — 11 Sep 2008
Now here's how to make a political thriller. Very entertaining and well crafted film from Algeria directed by Costa-Gavras about an assassination and the cover up that takes place after the event. Dialogue heavy but never dull, this Oscar winner for Foreign Film is exciting and also unsettling because it's basically based on a true story.
Very cool score, a great ensemble, and impressive editing.
