Review of Youth Without Youth (2007) by Sean R — 20 Jan 2008
Very impressive how well FFC succeeds in translating Eliade's complex (and sometimes a little turgid) story and philosophy into film, complete with ancient languages and reincarnation. He could've easily missed the target, and had he done so at any point the film would've seemed stilted or been a hard sell.
Romania looked historically authentic and beautiful. Tim Roth's performance was brilliant.
