Review of Youth Without Youth (2007) by Sarah F — 20 Jan 2008
Coppola's asked filmgoers to see this movie twice, but I don't think I can forgive him for the first time. like sally potter's "yes" or a julia kristeva novel, YWOY confuses big ideas and big artistic egos with art.
even tim "sexist-man-alive" roth (according to my peculiar taste in men) couldn't keep me engaged in this ambitious and well-meaning cockup of a film.
