Review of Youth Without Youth (2007) by Gavin H — 29 Feb 2008
Just before WWII, an old Romanian man is struck by lightning and wakes up to find he is in his 30's.
Strange, meandering, fascinating, boring, exciting, unpredictable and silly. Coppola's new film is all these things the same time. It actually doesn't work at all most of the time, but it's always interesting. It looks great and the score is beautiful.
