Review of Youth Without Youth (2007) by Brogan R — 05 Jul 2008
I'm not entirely sure if I liked this movie or not yet. I might have to let it sink in a little more. I think Coppola might have been trying a little too hard for the Kubrick vibe, but it's still got a bit of his signature flair to it.
Roth is great as usual, and the unknown actors surprise as well. What little effects used are pathetic though. Basically if you're looking for a deeply philosophical movie, watch this. Otherwise steer clear.
