Review of Youth Without Youth (2007) by Ben W — 24 Jul 2008
To reiterate others, this movie looks better than it ends up being. its a highly abstract effort from coppola. filmed interestingly but it squanders a great amount of the viewers investment in the last few minutes.
unfortunate for such a good filmmaker even though ive always thought he was slightly overrated. ill tell you though, the cinematography is great. the idea of reflection plays heavily on that with the upside down shots, the use of mirrors and what not.
too bad he could make it fly.
