Review of Youth Without Youth (2007) by Jason J — 27 Nov 2008
Itâ??s been a long time between drinks for Francis Ford Coppola, ten years since â??The Rainmakerâ??. There are some beautiful shots, and some excellent performances, but it is weird; and I think a lot of audiences will be turned off by how weird it is.
But it does capture a dream-like quality really nicely. There were aspects of the film which I thought were really interesting, but didnâ??t really develop, but as it is, the film is really packed full of interesting ideas.
Though itâ??s not the best film Coppolaâ??s made, if you want to see something a little different, check it out.
