Review of Youth Without Youth (2007) by Rasha A — 19 Jan 2009
This film was thoroughly confusing. Tim Roth saved this choppy script adaptation of the novella by Mircea Eliade. I really appreciate the premise, and the story was engaging enough to watch the whole time.
You could really tell that Coppola did this more for himself than the audience. It was almost like his way to cope with aging. A lot of "true love" elements, similar to The Fountain. Coppola's nod to early Hitchcock makes it a treat, albeit confusing.
