Review of Youth Without Youth (2007) by Vicky D — 20 Feb 2009
The movie starts off a little disjointed and confusing at first, making it hard to get into. Then it gets really intriguing, but I couldn't help but to recall Travolta in "Phenomenon;" both characters even absorb knowledge from books the same way! The movie loses points for lack of originality on that issue.
Tim Roth was of course, great to watch, but the movie dragged in places. I appreciated Coppola for trying to tackle this interesting story, and it did play out well overall.
