I understand the negative wrap that this movie got. It is not one of Coppolas finer works. I heard him getting interviewed on Howard Sterns radioshow. There Howard asked if Coppola was the type of guy that held the camera on birthdays and other celebrations.

Coppola said no and explained that the movies he makes now are his homemovies. So this feature is very much for himself and I think he'll be happy if other people like it. In this case I think it was a little bit over the head for me.

Looking forward to "Tetro" however.
