Review of Youth in Revolt (2009) by Irina T — 12 Oct 2010
Despite the fact that the story doesn't really go anywhere and there are some really silly scenes that are not even funny, Youth in Revolt has a pretty original story and Cera did an aesome job playing the role of a boring guy. I'm sure a lot of guys (and also girls) feel for him because he's considered as a loser and most likely will be the target of bullying because of his intelligence and inability to be cool like other kids.
I love the dual role the most. His journey of losing his virginity finally comes into a conclusion at the end. I wish there are more scenes at the end that shows him escaping from prison to meet with Sheeney, though.
