Review of Youth (2015) by Hugo G — 20 Nov 2015
9.6/10.
This movie was beautifully shot, every scene had something that made it very special to look at and Sorrentino delivered a nearly perfect looking film. Also the story was very good, touching very important and relatable topics from getting older to moving on, in ways that were touching and entertaining. Moreover, the performances were also great. Michael Caine was great, and Harvey Keitel was outstanding. While in more supporting roles Rachel Weisz, Paul Dano, and Jane Fonda were also really good, everyone really left a mark in the movie from the most minimal role to the leads. Overall, I really loved this film, it had something to it that seemed very genuine and special while also being very exquisite to watch.
