Review of Youth (2015) by Bud G — 26 Dec 2015
Paolo Sorrentino is seriously impressing me, after a series of excellent films, he delivers an amazing refection on life, love youth and old age with an incredible eye for details. His story is simple but engaging and seen through the perspective of two old friends, one a music director, the other a film director, during their vacation a luxurious spa-resort in Switzerland.
The cast is on point and everyone give a tender and frank performance. I loved the camera work once again, very beautifully executed and the lighting which once again was awesome. In short I really loved the film, the way its done and everything about it.
So it may not be the cup of tea for everyone I agree, nevertheless the curious ones may discover something pretty new and different from the rest of the film productions out there in theaters these days.
