If you are expecting this movie to be a simple coming-of-old-age story, prepare to be disappointed. Beautifully filmed and beautifully acted, the numerous subplots with no time to develop them makes for too many "what was THAT about" moments.
This film is what I'd call a film makers movie. One that is studied and enjoyed by the serious film student. But the rest of us need not skip bingo night to see it.
