Review of Youth (2015) by Gunslingor G — 12 Mar 2016
The most profound movie I've ever seen. Do not let the negative reviews fool you, they simply didn't understand the moral of the story. It's a movie about emotion and the human condition. It's about how any given person is trapped in their own perspective and can never truly fully understand another's perspective, and how reacting to a misunderstood perspective can have serious consequences.
The movie presents it's genius by showing the audience first hand that their perspective is usually wrong, really beating the argument into our heads by showing that the many assumptions we make as we learn about these people are wrong, more often then not in reality.
The movie is very deep with symbolism and true understanding requires multiple views. We are driven by emotion, but can never truly grasp another person's emotions. Incredible, I've never seen anything like it before.
.. must see, twice.
