Review of Yours, Mine & Ours (2005) by Marina N — 14 Jun 2012
Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo are fine actors but they have nothing to work with here. It's just a sequence of scenes that try to be funny but make you crack a smile at max. It's a nice that a family with so many children is actually portrayed in a positive light.
Normally, when we see single parents raising 5+ children it's probably a social drama about a teenage mom fighting with unemployment/working a thousand jobs and still failing to keep her kids from gangs/violence/pregnancy.
This movie would probably have benefitted from taking a stand on the topic of large families. But, unfortunately, it remains rather dull and pointless.
