A) You can't beat Fonda and Ball.
B) The "updating" of Helen and the change in the North family dynamics partially ruined the film. Atleast the Beardsley side of the family managed to met (and partially exceeded) my expectations for them. The combined pranks and efforts of the Norths and Beardsleys also helped absolve some of the infractions that almost ruined the film.
