"You're Next" doesn't reinvent the wheel when it comes to slashers, but it does use it to run over a hell of a lot of people in gruesome and fresh ways. The script is better than most in the genre and the acting is award-winning by comparison, and director Adam Wingard treats both his victims and villain(s) with respect and care.
