Review of Your Name. (2016) by Kaitlyn H — 19 Apr 2017
I, personally, enjoyed this movie. Fantastic animation and art style. I love how it shows what happened 3 years ago in the beginning of the movie. I also very much enjoyed the fact that they were switching bodies three years apart.
When I re-watched this movie later I realized that maybe they were switching bodies so they could save everyone who died in the disaster of Comet Tiamat. Like Taki said in the final time they switch after gaining a second chance maybe the Miyamizu family had those dreams or so called body-switching moments to lead up to the point of the comet splitting and part of it becoming a meteor then a meteorite crashing into Itomori.
I hope more movies made will be as wonderful and fascinating as this one was.
