Review of Your Name. (2016) by Larry H — 30 Jul 2017
The film builds to a melodramatic third act that it completely earns. A romance blossoms between the two main characters throughout the story that make it all the more compelling. When its sci-fi moments arise it feels like the natural evolution of the narrative, as opposed to jumping the shark, with every domino piece set in place earlier in the film.
When one piece has finally fallen over it creates a rollercoaster of tension and emotion that you will just have to see to believe. The film grabs you by the heart and doesn't let go until the credits start to play.
