Visually-wise "Your Name" is one of the most beautiful anime feature films I ever had the pleasure of watching.
Although some of its plot twists are rather obvious, "Your Name" provides a compelling story that succeeds in keeping viewers at the edge of their seats.
With a right balance of comedy, charm, drama & adventure, the film welcomes viewers to fall in love with the two co-protagonists & root for them until the very end.
The only downside of the film is the selection of some of its songs. There are 2-3 sequences where songs with lyrics are used on top of scenery montages, making said sequences feel like the end credits of an anime television show, thus disorienting viewers into thinking this is the end or at least it feels like it, only to turn the next scene & realize that this was only a weird transition between scenes.
Nevertheless, "Your Name" is one of the best anime works to have come out in recent years & is definitely worth checking out.
