Review of Your Highness (2011) by Antony G — 16 Apr 2013
An all cast A list of Hollywood's finest, which is baffling in itself & proof the dollar talks to bolster your bank account, star in this cheap, vulgar comedy. Clearly tongue in cheek parody of all films of the fantasy genre with LOTR being its heaviest influence. As a comedy it simply doesn't work with it being so childish & vulgar seeking cheap laughs. Parts of the movie work if it had taken itself serious as a fantasy movie harking back to the 80's. its certainly not going to test the old grey matter with a simple plot & cheap gags, it simply does what exactly what it says on the tin.
Prince Thadeous (Danny McBride) is a useless, lazy prince living on the shadow of his much more popular & handsome brother & heir to the throne, Prince Fabious. But his destiny takes a surprising turn when he proves his worth embarking on a quest to rescue his brother's bride to be, who was kidnapped by an evil wizard to fulfil a prophecy!
