Review of Your Friends & Neighbors (1998) by Jason Y — 28 Apr 2005
VHS First Viewing, 5 LaBute films seen.
I appreciate director Neil LaBute for having a point to a his career. He makes critical films about human conditions. Some times he removes himself from this path, with films like Possession and Nurse Betty (even though I love that one), but his best work explores the immorality and cruelty of human beings. This ranks right up there with his best work: In the Company of Men and The Shape of Things.
