Review of Young People Fucking (2007) by William M — 28 Jan 2009
I do remember this movie title being mentioned or advertised I believe during the Toronto Film Festival and was curious to see it, as it had a funny title and all. I have to say, when watching this movie, it was rather hilarious and made me laugh during bits of it. It is conveniently broken down into parts like a play, with a beginning, middle, and end, and showcasing 5 couples in their adventures or misadventures into sex.
Of the actors/actresses in this, I gotta say, Carly Pope who I recall from past performances is looking quite good with a rather toned body, and Callum Blue who was also in "Dead Like Me" is still quite funny and played well. Heck, even the director, Martin Gero, has directed other tv shows like Stargate SG-1/Atlantis so I remember him from that.
There are morals shown in this movie that should be practiced, like if you're wanting to let laid and are in the moment, keep your mouth shut and just go with it, unless you REALLY have some objections and don't want to go through with it, as when people spoke up and brought up an issue, it somewhat killed the moment for all involved.
All in all, it was a good movie and it was very funny to watch. I'd recommend it if you don't mind nudity (female boobs and male asses). And if you can, watch it with a partner as it might open up dialogue and at least you can share a laugh.
