It's always refreshing to see something original in cinema these days. Though, after first hearing about it, I was really looking forward to this one. I still had my doubts being as this is one of those low budget kind of first films new directors make.

I usually am not a fan or artsy films but being as this was some sort of futuristic dystiopian post apocalyptic movie, I knew I had to try it out. Definitely wasn't as good as I thought it would be, no matter how big of a fan I am of that genre.

It started out fun an exciting but kind of got lost in it's own story trying to be a couple different things at once. I love how differently this movie was shot though, showing that even these days you don't have to do run-of-the-mill things in order to have something be successful.

I did think it would have had more science fictional elements and maybe some more action but since I am not the creator of this movie I can't have changed the way it was written and directed. It is a fresh new vision, some sort of a film that pays homage to the older days.

But either way, whether it wasn't as groundbreaking as I thought it would be, it doesn't defeat the purpose of it being something that it wasn't afraid to be, and that is always fresh and unique in my book.

I am in no hurry to buy this one but if it happened to be on sale or cheap somewhere I would probably pick it up for fun, just because it's something different.
