Review of Young Mr. Lincoln (1939) by Eduardo C — 29 Dec 2013
Henry Fonda's portrayal of Lincoln is legendary, greatly aided by makeup, one feels the presence of Lincoln immediately upon seeing him. You can feel the breath of Lincoln all over this film, only slightly marred by it being a work of fiction.
Still, one can easily visualize Lincoln behaving exactly this way had he been placed in this situation. The story is jaw-dropping good and will invariably force one to backtrack and watch a certain scene all over again.
