Review of Young Guns (1988) by Cody L — 10 Mar 2012
Nice film about corruption and bloody murder, with skilful characterisation. Really about loyalty and 'mateship', it's a pity that the undertone of 'how the west was won' is in reality not over in the 21st century, where the racism and corruption have not really been overcome in a modern multicultural plurality. So late both century efforts from Hollywood to paint the american dream onto the nightmare reality are becoming historical evidence of some relevance.
And it's an entertaining, fun time-passer too. Expect the rotten to progress to fresh by comparison of modern reviewers with current product.
