Review of Young Guns (1988) by Mike S — 10 May 2009
Decent western, but nothing special. It could certainly have done without all the cheesy 80's rock music, because to me it just felt really off and out of place. The story wasn't all that great either, but at least it was entertaining enough to keep my eyelids open.
What really saved this movie, however, was not the entertainment value, but its cast. I doubt it'd have been worth seeing if it wasn't for good actors like Charlie Sheen and Keither Sutherland being part of it. Without them, I'd probably have given a significantly lower rating.
In conclusion: not bad, just painfully mediocre.
