An absolutely brilliant film, probably the best cast Mel Brooks ever got in a film. This film plays like a spoof, yet tries to retain as much seriousness as it can from it's original material. Great performances, great use of the old Black and White film, great characters, and great running gags.
Marty Feldman and Gene Wilder were the best actors here, playing off each other so well. Teri Garr was also very splendid, as well as Cloris Leachman (neighing in the background).
If you enjoy Spoof films, then this is for you.
