Classic comedy merges with great filmmaking. This is not merely a great comedy, it's a flat out great film. The best comedies allow you to actually care about the characters: Animal House, Tootsie and in this film, you find yourself with Gene Wilder's emotional ride.
If you've never seen this film or haven't seen it in a while and if you happen to be in a bad mood, watch it; it will change how you feel.
