2: What was most impressive was that by the end of the film I actually pronounced Frankenstein as they did in the picture and not as one typically does. I suppose I'd appreciate the picture more if I were a big fan of 1930's Monster films, Frankenstein in particular, but this is a genre I've never really gotten into.
I do appreciate Nosferatu, but being a 1920's German film, it definitely belongs in a separate category. This is about what I usually expect from Mel Brooks, meaning it is pretty lackluster and uninspired, but he certainly did make a few classics as well.
The bit with the hand sticking out of the coffin was solid as well, as well more than a few of the one liners. However, as I've found with more than one Brooks picture, it was not laugh-out-loud funny.
The ending was pretty clever.
