Arguably Mel Brooks's finest & funniest film (Especially If you're a "Monster Kid" like me-), a superb homage to the classic Universal horrors of the 30's & 40's. Unforgettable sight-gags, fantastic characterizations (Especially by veteran loonies Marty Feldman, Cloris Leachman, & Kenneth Mars-), endless slapstick, side-splitting "Borscht Belt" humor,& the lovely Teri Garr, to boot! And the superb Gene Hackman's parody of the blind hermit from "The Bride of Frankenstein" is dead-on and a real laugh-riot! Brooks's greatest achievement!
