Not a lot of people seem to know that many of the props in Young Frankenstein were used in the original 1931 Frankenstein movie. This is but one example of how accurately and affectionately the movies parodies its subjects.
While not exactly a laugh-a-minute comedy, Young Frankenstein features Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder at the top of their game.
