Review of Young Frankenstein (1974) by Matthew K — 16 Dec 2012
A very funny satire of 30's horror while still being somewhat a tribute to it, if even only in a way that points out its very silliness. Although Mel Brooks is on good form, inserting many hilarious gags as usual that will have you howling, I don't think its as good as his films prior to this one (Well, Producers and Blazing Saddles), although with those standards it really doesn't need to be to be a really good film.
Gene Wilder is as funny as ever. What more to say? What more to ask for? 4/5.
