Review of Young Frankenstein (1974) by Tyson D — 19 Jul 2012
Mel Brooks's funniest and best movie! I know some people may not like this movie as much as certain other movies because this movie is a little old and the jokes are bit outdated, but for me I didn't care because this movie is a classic and it's a great watch.
It's directed by the funny man himself Mel Brooks and it stars the incredible actor Gene Wilder, who also wrote this movie as well. So I think if your a big fan of Gene Wilder than you would love this movie because this is one of his bests.
If you think the movie has an unoriginal story think again because this movie is not a remake of a Frankenstein movie it's basically a spoof of Frankenstein and I know usually spoof movies suck, but this spoof movie is really funny.
I just love the whole tone of the film and I love the script work and I just love the acting Gene Wilder gives, he basically made this movie amazing. So I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes old school comedies or people who just like Mel Brooks's work or Gene Wilder's work.
So if your anyone of those kinds of people than give this movie a watch, but if your not any of those type of people than skip this movie because you probably wouldn't like it. For me on the other hand I like old school Comedies, I like Mel Brooks's movies and I really Gene Wilder's movies so this movie is perfect for me.
